The Freeheeler Campus brings together telemark professionals, instructors and coaches from across Europe – for three intensive days of training, exchange and development.
In 2026, the Freeheeler Campus is once again the ideal opportunity to share ideas, compare notes, learn from one another and grow together in our favourite sport. At the heart of it is the question of how we can teach telemark technique and skiing skills even more effectively – and how we can continue to improve our own performance on skis.
We ski both on and off-piste, across varied terrain and in all snow conditions. Around 70% of the Campus takes place on snow, while the remaining 30% consists of workshops, presentations and professional exchange.
The Freeheeler Campus grew from John Eames' original idea of organising a joint coordination workshop for the Freeheeler Guides ahead of the FEO Hintertux. From that first meeting, it has evolved over the years into the Freeheeler Campus: with participants from across Europe and the USA, specialised on- and off-snow sessions, and continuing professional development in ski instruction.
Immediately following the Campus, from 27.–29.11.2026, the Freeheeler European Opening (FEO) takes place – the perfect opportunity to join the FEO programme and spend time with hundreds of telemarkers from around the world. Campus + FEO = the ultimate telemark week.
The Campus is organised and led by experienced telemark professionals with decades of experience.
John Eames kommt seit vielen Jahren im November nach Hintertux – mit seinen eigenen Telemark-Gästen von „The Off-piste & Telemark Ski Company", die er über 30 Jahre mit seiner Partnerin Bonny Masson führte.
